The Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, announced that during Taitung’s most beautiful season, bus operators and local industries have teamed up to launch the “Love Chi-Tai Rice” promotion. Through this cross-industry collaboration, nearly 30 local businesses in downtown Taitung, Longtian, Wuling, Guanshan, and Chishang have joined forces. From now until June 20, 2014, travelers can purchase a one-day “Love Chi-Tai Rice” pass to explore Taitung and enjoy discounts on hot springs, cultural events, shopping, and more by presenting their ticket stub.

The Directorate General of Highways also noted that different regions of Taiwan offer unique beauty throughout the seasons. The “Top 10 Scenic Routes” launched by the agency include attractions such as Yangmingshan, Dongshan, Sun Moon Lake, Guanziling, Shifen in Muzha, Hualien, and Xitou.
