Top 15 Famous Shops in Taipei’s Traditional Markets Announced – Yichang Yufang Wins Championship in Cooked Food Category

To discover more unique stalls hidden within traditional markets and share their distinctive flavors with more people, the Taipei City Market Administration Office specially organized the "Best Stall in the World" selection event, attracting over a hundred shops to apply. After online voting and expert evaluations, a total of 15 shops stood out across five major categories: "Cooked Food," "Snacks," "Sausages," "Fresh Ingredients," and "General Merchandise."

Qiu Baolang, one of the judges and a renowned chef for state banquets, said that the winning cooked food stalls stood out due to their friendly service, fresh and delicious products, and wide variety. Each group went through fierce competition before the final results were determined.

Additionally, the Market Administration Office also held the "True Market Happiness – Photography Competition," using the lenses of photography enthusiasts to capture the unique features and beautiful moments of Taipei’s traditional markets.

The Market Administration Office stated that this year’s "Best Stall in the World" will hold sales and award ceremonies on April 19 and 20 at the Huashan Flower Expo Yuan Shan Corridor Plaza. The public is invited to taste the offerings for free. Visitors can also purchase all the award-winning stall products in one go at the venue. Award-winning works from the photography competition will also be displayed, allowing the public to share in the glory and flavors of the winners.
