Jimmy Lin rediscovers Singapore “from the heart” in microfilm “It’s You”

In last year’s “Rediscovering Love from the Heart,” Cheng Youqing chose to come to Singapore to rediscover her love memories with Li Daren.This year, the “eternally young” Jimmy Lin, invited by the Singapore Tourism Board, has launched the second installment in the series of microfilms directed by renowned Hong Kong directors Stanley Kwan and Sylvia Chang, titled “It’s You,” aiming to lead audiences to rediscover the beauty of Singapore once again.

Jimmy Lin rose to renewed fame through the show “Dad, Where Are We Going?” and was invited to participate in the Singapore Tourism Board’s annual microfilm “It’s You.” Yang Yiming, representative of the Singapore Tourism Board in Taiwan, said that his image of eternal youth and vitality aligns well with the current tourism direction Singapore is promoting.Yang Yiming also noted that Singapore has changed significantly in recent years—whether in terms of infrastructure or the overall atmosphere of travel—it now offers deeper experiences and showcases more of the local cultural character, making it well worth visiting again and again to uncover a different side of Singapore. “It’s You” aims to guide travelers and showcase the diversity of travel experiences through the lens of dad-star Jimmy Lin.

The microfilm “It’s You” will be released this June on the Chinese video-sharing platform Youku. In the film, Jimmy Lin plays a person brave enough to pursue their dreams, and through the people and events encountered in the storyline, leads audiences to rediscover precious memories in Singapore. The Singapore Tourism Board will also create “themed travel” routes based on the film’s storyline for audiences.
