Tzu-Chiang train selling bento boxes? Following the Taroko and Afu trains, the third "Q-version" bento sales car of Taiwan Railways has been launched. Starting today, it will sell bento during lunch and dinner hours at Nangang Railway Station. Taiwan Railways stated that the bento boxes available this time feature a variety of main dishes, including a Yilan-style cherry duck bento for NT$100, an eight-spice chicken leg bento for NT$80, pork rib bento, vegetarian options, and a pork rib bento for NT$60.

Taiwan Railways pointed out that this newly launched bento car is modeled after the DUM-3000 type. It features an orange-and-yellow color scheme with a highly retro design. Going forward, it will "roam around" the ticket hall on the second underground floor of the railway station. Bento will be available daily from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Initially, only 200 portions will be available per day, with the quantity to be increased in the future depending on sales performance.

Taiwan Railways previously launched Q-version "Taroko" and "Afu" bento cars at Keelung Station and Shulin Station in 2009 and 2012, respectively. The railway company stated that many passengers specifically came to see the Q-version dining cars, which also led to an increase in bento sales.
