8,000-square-meter fairytale-themed scenic park — Taoyuan’s “Happy Dreamland” has just opened!

Located in Daxi, Taoyuan, “Happy Dreamland” reopened on the 17th. It is close to the Shimen Reservoir and Daxi Old Street, surrounded by trees and filled with a rich fairytale ambiance. Its most eye-catching feature is the so-called “world’s first magic maze,” which is still under preparation. Continuing the magical theme, the park also offers 15 leisure facilities such as a King’s Castle inn, elf houses, a wedding banquet hall, and an art gallery.

Covering 8,000 square meters, “Happy Dreamland” was formerly a riverside fairy-tale forest. Starting May 1st, under the leadership of General Manager Chang Chia-cheng and his new team, the venue officially reopened under its new name on June 17th. Marketing manager Chen Wan-tsui shared that while 6,000 square meters of the park retain landscapes like Alice’s Garden to preserve the original fairytale style, new additions like a rainbow path have been made—every corner is perfect for photos.

What’s worth looking forward to is the 2,000-square-meter “mobile magic maze,” currently under preparation. Twelve elves will appear to interact with visitors, and you can download an app for an even more immersive real-life adventure experience.
Chen Wan-tsui noted that the “Hundred Flavors Painting Restaurant” at “Happy Dreamland” is a major highlight. It sources farm-grown vegetables delivered straight to the table and offers a hundred-item vegetarian buffet featuring dishes like Hong Kong-style dim sum and Five Elements hot pot. There’s also magic wood-fired pizza and more.
