Paper pandas say goodbye to Beitou Hot Springs in a flash mob — their yukata looks are super kawaii

The outdoor public art exhibition “1600 Pandas World Tour — Taipei” ended at the end of March. The paper pandas had alsoappeared as brides,athletes, sparking lively discussions. Before saying goodbye to Taipei, on the 21st, the paper pandas met up with paper Formosan black bears and Formosan sika deer in Beitou to enjoy the hot spring experience together.

The Department of Information and Tourism stated that Beitou, selected as one of “Taiwan’s Top Ten Small Tourist Towns,” is a highly representative tourist destination. In addition to its world-famous hot springs, Beitou’s geothermal valley, Beitou stones, traditional tavern cuisine, and eco-friendly green architecture library are all fascinating and full of character.

The Department of Information and Tourism also mentioned that the paper panda flash mob has visited many iconic sites in Taipei, appearing alongside various endangered animals. This farewell flash mob aims to promote Beitou tourism together with the Formosan sika deer and to continue raising public awareness about environmental protection.
