Snakes spotted in the area – The Snow Mountain National Park Administration reports that as spring transitions into summer, it is also a time of heightened activity for various animals and insects. Recently, snakes have occasionally been seen at the Wenshui Administrative Center of Snow Mountain National Park in Dahu Township, Miaoli County. Therefore, the administration reminds the public to stay vigilant when entering or exiting the area.

Although the Wenshui Visitor Center is located outside the park, the Snow Mountain Administration has consistently invested in maintaining the surrounding natural environment, making the Dahu area a habitat rich in biodiversity. However, the administration’s staff have recently observed snakes around the visitor center. Therefore, visitors are advised to stick to designated pathways, avoid walking through grassy areas, and refrain from lingering in shaded spots near wild streams to prevent potential danger.

The Snow Mountain Administration further stated that although environmental inspections are carried out daily by dedicated personnel, visitors and hikers are urged to remain alert. If a snake is spotted, stay calm, move away quickly, and avoid startling or attempting to capture the snake. Contact park staff for assistance.
