EVA Air launches “Taoyuan–Okinawa” route — just 90 minutes to one of the world’s top four coastal destinations!

EVA Air announced today (24th) that it will launch the Taoyuan–Okinawa route starting June 17, with bookings now open. It is understood that last year, the number of Taiwanese travelers visiting Japan exceeded 2.34 million. EVA Air stated that it expects Japan’s tourism market to continue growing this year, hence the decision to launch the Okinawa route ahead of the peak summer travel season.

Known as one of the world’s top four coastal tourist destinations, Okinawa is just a 90-minute flight from Taoyuan, making it a popular choice for many Taiwanese travelers. EVA Air said the Taoyuan–Okinawa route will be operated using the A321-200 aircraft, offering a total of 184 seats — 8 in business class and 176 in economy class.

To celebrate the new route, EVA Air has partnered with travel agencies to offer group tour packages for as low as NT$22,000 for a 3-night, 4-day trip. For independent travelers, the EVA Holidays Okinawa 2-day, 1-night package starts at just NT$11,300, and also includes a complimentary Okinawa Top 10 Sightseeing Pass or a 2-day monorail pass. The first 200 passengers to complete their ticket purchase will receive a NT$1,000 voucher for use at ANA FESTA duty-free shops.
