Doraemon’s “Anywhere Door” appears on Huashan Grassland – Open it and instantly arrive in Hong Kong?

As part of the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s annual campaign “2014 Hong Kong Fun,” an outdoor creative event gave Taiwanese the chance to experience the fun of “stepping through a door and arriving in Hong Kong.” A pink door was placed on the lawn for the public to try out. The organizers also gave away Hong Kong flight tickets every day – lucky participants who opened the door to a pleasant surprise had the chance to fly to Hong Kong for a trip right away.

The sound of “knock knock” piqued the curiosity of visitors, drawing them in. The pink door not only had a cute design but also felt familiar, almost like seeing Doraemon’s Anywhere Door. When opened, what you initially saw were the actual sights of Huashan in Taipei, but with one turn of the door, the scene instantly switched to Hong Kong, making viewers feel as if they were in Hong Kong. Each time the door opened or closed, different scenes appeared. Traveling through various scenes made it seem as though you were truly using the Anywhere Door to reach Hong Kong.
