The Taiwan International Boat Show kicks off on the 8th; the city government has arranged shuttle buses every 10 minutes

The “2014 Taiwan International Boat Show” will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from May 8 to May 11, featuring luxury yachts worth over NT$7 billion in total — the largest indoor boat show in Asia. Due to traffic control measures during the event, the Kaohsiung City Government has specially arranged free shuttle buses running between the Sanduo Shopping District MRT Station and the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center to help ease visitor congestion. The public is encouraged to make use of them.

For the 2014 Taiwan International Boat Show, the Kaohsiung City Government has arranged free shuttle buses running every ten minutes between the Sanduo Shopping District MRT Station and the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. Additionally, nearly 500 parking spaces are available in the parking lot beneath the exhibition center and the Shin Kong Parking Lot. Dream Mall’s surrounding parking lots are designated as alternative parking areas, where visitors can also transfer to the Dream Mall free shuttle bus or take the No. 168 circular bus.

Due to limited parking space at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, the city government has also set up seven major transfer parking lots at the MRT stations: Metropolitan Park, Aozihdi, City Council, Nangangshan, Zuoying, Daliao, and Kaohsiung International Airport. Visitors can transfer to the MRT and get off at the Sanduo Shopping District Station, then take the shuttle bus from Exit 2 to reach the venue. Before the end of June, riding public transport with an EasyCard is free. Visitors can also take the No. 168 or Red 21 bus routes, which will have increased service frequency during the event.

Director-General Lai Rui-long of the Ocean Affairs Council pointed out that the inaugural “Taiwan International Boat Show” has garnered significant attention from both domestic and international yacht manufacturers. Ticket sales are going well, with an estimated attendance of tens of thousands. Over the four-day exhibition period, nearly 140 exhibitors and around 900 booths will showcase a wide range of vessels, including luxury yachts, sailboats, and powerboats, collectively valued at over NT$7 billion.
