Kaohsiung Sightseeing Cruises Move to a New Home – Free Rides for Moms During Taiwan International Boat Show

The “2014 Taiwan International Boat Show” takes place from the 8th to the 11th at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, showcasing luxury yachts worth over NT$7 billion in total, creating a major stir even before the event begins. To coincide with the boat show, Kaohsiung Sightseeing Cruises will move from Zhen’ai Pier to Shin-Kong Pier starting the 8th, and open a new harbor cruise route between “Shin-Kong Pier and Qijin Ferry Terminal,” giving visitors a brand-new harbor-viewing experience.

With the relocation of Kaohsiung Sightseeing Cruises, Shin-Kong Pier will replace Zhen’ai Pier as the new hub, with all sightseeing cruises and dining boats moving to the new location. Kaohsiung Ferries Co. stated that the new route will operate on weekends and national holidays as a regular service. Its biggest highlight is the chance to admire the magnificent yet graceful lines of the newly completed Kaohsiung World Trade Exhibition Hall from the sea. Flanked by iconic structures such as the 85 Sky Tower and the China Steel Corporation headquarters, along with other major public infrastructure, the route also features sleek, stylish luxury yachts at the waterfront floating dock—showcasing a cityscape where strength meets elegance.

During the International Boat Show and the International Kaohsiung Travel Fair on May 16th, additional services will be offered on the “Shin-Kong Pier – Qijin Ferry Terminal” route. To celebrate the launch of the new route, passengers traveling in May and June can enjoy a special one-way fare of just NT$100. As Mother’s Day falls during the travel fair period,moms riding the new Qijin harbor cruise route during the exhibition period will receive free rides to celebrate Mother’s Day. Additionally, those celebrating their birthdays in May can also ride for free throughout the month..
