Uni Air to Increase Taipei-Taitung Flights Starting June – Bookings Now Open

In response to the peak tourist season, Uni Air will add more round-trip flights between Taipei and Taitung starting June 1, with online reservations now available. The Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival kicks off at the end of May, and Uni Air has scheduled additional flights every Monday and Sunday from June 1 between Taipei–Taitung and Taitung–Taipei. Passengers can book through the Uni Air official website or mobile app.

The additional flights are as follows: Every Monday and Sunday at 11:20 AM from Taipei to Taitung, and 1:00 PM from Taitung to Taipei.
Additionally, the electrification project of the East Coast Railway Line is expected to be completed by the end of June. Once finished, the fastest travel time from Taipei to Taitung will be just three and a half hours, with seat capacity increasing to 8,000, which will also boost the development of tourism in eastern Taiwan.
