In response to the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Tainan offers three days of free city tours

In response to the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau continues to offer uninterrupted guided tour services during the break as a gesture of gratitude to the public’s support. A total of 14 free city tour sessions will be available over the three days. The public can start making reservations via the online booking system from today.

In recent years, the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau has launched two city walking routes — “Historic Walk in Fucheng” and “Anping Old Street Tour” — both of which have received widespread acclaim and high praise from visitors. Since their inception in July 2011, over 9,000 tourists have joined these city walking tours, showing that urban walking tours have become a new travel trend.

To meet public demand, starting June 1, the “Historic Walk in Fucheng” and “Anping Old Street Tour” will adjust their routes and time slots. The “Historic Walk in Fucheng” will be divided into two branches: the “Confucius Temple Line” and the “Chihkan Line.” Service hours are 10:00–12:00 and 15:00–17:00 respectively, with meeting points at the entrance of the National Museum of Taiwanese Literature (No. 1, Zhongzheng Road, West Central District, Tainan City) and the entrance of the Sìdiàn Wǔmiào (No. 229, Section 2, Yongfu Road, West Central District, Tainan City).

Except for maintaining the original service hours on May 31, a total of five sessions will be offered over the three-day holiday. For the “Anping Old Street Tour,” the May service hours remain unchanged. Starting June 1, daily service hours will be adjusted to 10:00–12:00 and 15:00–17:00, with six sessions over the three days. The meeting point is at the main entrance of Anping Tree House (No. 108, Gubao Street, Anping District, Tainan City). Visitors are welcome to take Bus 88 (Anping Line) and Bus 99 (Taijiang Line) to attend. The three walking routes together offer 14 free guided city tour sessions. The public is encouraged to take advantage of them.

In addition, the “Yanshui Yuejin Harbor Stroll” will officially launch on May 24. Although the first group’s online registration is already full, in appreciation of the public’s enthusiastic support, the service will also be available without interruption during this holiday period. Daily service hours are 15:00–18:00, with the meeting point at Qiaonan Old Street (next to 7-11 at YanShui Bridge, No. 1, Nanmen Road, Yanshui District). Three sessions will be offered over the three days. Visitors can take the Greater Tainan Trunk Bus Brown Line (Brown 1, Brown 2, and Brown 3) to get there. The three walking routes together provide 14 free guided city tour sessions. The public is welcome to join.
