The De Yuan Pi Dutch Village Children's Fun Festival kicked off last weekend, attracting tens of thousands to join in the fun.

The 2014 De Yuan Pi Dutch Village Happy Children's Fun Festival opened with great fanfare last weekend, drawing over ten thousand visitors over the Saturday and Sunday. The event organizer, the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau, set up free experience zones at the venue including traditional children’s games, an inflatable game zone, and De Yuan Pi painting activities, where participating children had a blast.

The traditional children’s games area featured more than ten types of classic play equipment, including nostalgic games like bottle fishing, hoop rolling, diabolo, shuttlecock kicking, and the skill-challenging moon-and-sun game, allowing many adults to relive their childhood memories while kids joined in the fun, creating a lively atmosphere. In addition, the organizers hosted a Happy Clown Show during the weekend, inviting clowns with various unique styles to perform and interact with the public. The entertaining and diverse clown acts captivated the children, drawing constant laughter.

The event venue also featured an authentic Dutch windmill that attracted many visitors. The organizers set up coloring and sketching activities themed around painting De Yuan Pi at this location, allowing all participants to enjoy the view of the windmill and the scenic landscape, capture the beauty of De Yuan Pi Dutch Village through their art, and create joyful childhood memories for this summer.
