Denmark’s “Ring-Shaped Canopy Walkway” Offers a Treetop Experience in the Nordic Forest

A Danish architecture studio designed this distinctive ring-shaped “canopy walkway” to give visitors the sensation of walking among the treetops. As guests stroll along the circular pathway, they gradually ascend from ground level to the very top, where they can enjoy panoramic views of the entire forest.

According to Lonely Planet, this ring-shaped canopy walkway called“Treetop Experience” is located in the Danish town of Haslev, about an hour’s drive from the capital, Copenhagen. Although the attraction is set within a private forest, the forest is open to visitors and includes lakes, waterfalls, and wetlands—ideal for those who enjoy immersing themselves in nature in Northern Europe.

The walkway stretches a total of 600 meters. To accommodate visitors who may not wish to walk the entire length in one go, there are numerous rest areas along the route where guests can pause and read informational signs about the surrounding scenery. At the highest point, there is a 45-meter-tall observation deck.

The canopy walkway was commissioned by the local adventure organization Camp Adventure, which offers various outdoor activities in the area, such as mountain climbing and zip-lining. The walkway is scheduled to open in the summer of 2018.
