Pineapple cake is a famous traditional Taiwanese dessert, with its crispy crust and fragrant, fruit-filled interior. This flavor is not only a nostalgic treat beloved by locals but also a must-buy souvenir for foreign tourists visiting Taiwan. Located in Nantou, the Guihua Tian Pastry Theme Leisure Park has created a “Pineapple Homeland” themed area, offering visitors delicious food, fun activities, and great shopping.

Upon entering the Guihua Tian Pastry Theme Leisure Park, you’ll find a massive pineapple installation that feels like stepping into SpongeBob’s house. Its adorable appearance keeps both kids and adults snapping photos non-stop. The park is decorated with pineapples of all sizes, and its vibrant yellow tones instantly lift your mood. Among its offerings, Guihua Tian’s homemade brown sugar pineapple cake boasts a crumbly texture and rich aroma, using natural ingredients that deliver the unique, delicious taste of this local specialty in every bite.

The shop’s signature item is the daily limited-edition handmade Guihua-aged brown sugar pineapple cake. The filling is made from ripe brown sugar pineapples from the Bagua Mountain Range, combined with guihua wine, then slow-cooked for seven hours with French red wine and rock sugar. The soft, flaky crust is baked using Japanese Fuji flour, imported Canadian flaxseeds, French butter, and locally sourced brown-shell chicken eggs—no artificial flavors are added, ensuring a 100% natural taste.

The entire park isn’t very large, but it features a themed restaurant, family-friendly baking DIY activities, and a souvenir shopping area—perfect for a quick stop during a trip to Nantou for photos. In July, they will also launch a pineapple-picking experience, allowing visitors to harvest naturally ripened pineapples themselves. Additionally, Nantou’s famous Wei Re Shan Jiao (Micro Heat Hill) is nearby, so foodies can stock up on pineapple cakes all in one go.
