If you’re planning a literary and artistic trip around Taichung, besides visiting the National Taichung Theater, the Modern Art Museum at Asia University is also a must-see attraction. Inspired by triangles, the building is composed of countless stacked triangular forms. This work is Tadao Ando’s first architectural project in Taiwan, with aesthetics reflected in every corner of the structure.

After photographing the beautiful buildings, don’t rush to leave. Every summer, the sight of blooming lotuses offers a uniquely elegant scene. This lotus pond is located behind the Management School on campus and becomes a great place to appreciate the flowers in early June. Additionally, the best time to enjoy the lotuses is between 6 and 8 a.m., when early-rising students can stroll through the campus and greet a happy morning with the beautiful blossoms.
