Nordic-style grocery aesthetic! Kyoto café Chashitsu Rokka easily steals girls’ hearts

“Chashitsu Rokka” is located on Kyoto’s Higashi-oji Street, close to the famous sightseeing spot Chion-in Temple and right across from Kyoto’s renowned canvas bag brand “Isetan Shinzaburo.” This small café enjoys high popularity—nearly all the well-known bloggers I follow have visited here, making it a must-visit café in Kyoto.




Kyoto has numerous cafés, each with distinctive styles and unique charm that are truly captivating. As for “Chashitsu Rokka,” its storefront adopts a Nordic-style grocery aesthetic. The first impression I had was: “Yes, this is exactly the kind of café girls would love!”




The hand-drawn menu and signboard feature very cute illustrations, once again hitting the sweet spot of every girl’s heart.


Inside the shop, there’s a wooden floor paired with white walls, and a small garden at the back.


The decor is simple yet gives off a comfortable and relaxing vibe.


Even the business card with its hand-drawn style is sure to win over girls’ hearts again~


My friend ordered the daily set meal (日替わりセット), priced at 850 yen. It came with a main dish, salad, pickled vegetables, and butter-filled bread. It was simple but delicious, especially with the vegetables being incredibly fresh and tasty.


I ordered the savory tart combo, which included a savory tart, salad, boiled red beans as a side dish, and bread filled with cream. It was equally delicious, but if I had to choose, I’d prefer the daily set meal.

In summary: Lunch was absolutely delicious, but for some reason I didn’t try their coffee that day. Guess I’ll just have to go back next time to make up for it.
