Check before summer travel: Tourism Bureau releases list of 38 blacklisted travel agencies nationwide

With summer vacation approaching, many people have already planned their trips,Today (24th), the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced the operational status of travel agencies, revealing a total of 38 agencies that have had their licenses revoked, been dissolved, or suspended due to various issues, reminding consumers to stay vigilant.

The Tourism Bureau, in accordance with Article 43 of the Development of Tourism Act, has published the operational status of travel agencies from January 10 to June 23, 2017. The list of problematic travel agencies is as follows:

1. 4 travel agencies with licenses revoked
Taipei City: Shin Wang Ai (announced withdrawal by the Travel Quality Assurance Association of the Republic of China, failed to replenish the security deposit), Die Lian Hua (engaged in business beyond the approved scope, and provided tourism services that significantly harmed the life, body, or property of travelers), Jin Yun (the company has been suspended for over six months without reporting).
Kaohsiung City: Hua Tai (announced withdrawal by the Quality Assurance Association, failed to replenish the security deposit).

2. 16 travel agencies that applied for dissolution
New Taipei & Taipei: Kang Peng, Zhuo Yue, Cheng Yi, Shang Bo International, An Jiang International, Yong Fa, Ju Hang, Wan Hua International, Sen Hui, National International, Lai Fu International, Dong Xu.
Taoyuan City: You Song International, Yi Chang, Li Ming.
Kaohsiung City: Jin Jin.

3. 7 travel agencies that failed to purchase required performance bond insurance
Taipei City: Zi You Wang, Sheng Yun International, Ju Xing, Xiang Tai.
Taoyuan City: Zhi Jian.
Taichung City: Tai Cheng.
Kinmen County: Mei Jia Nan.

4. 2 travel agencies ordered to suspend operations due to financial difficulties posing risks to consumer assets
Taipei City: Lian Hua.
Kaohsiung City: Yuan Ding.

5. 9 travel agencies that voluntarily applied for suspension and must reapply for reopening after the suspension period ends
Taipei City: Ya Xiang (suspended until January 19, 2018), Mei Zhao (suspended until February 14, 2018), Ming Liang (suspended until March 24, 2018), Ya Lv International (suspended until May 31, 2018), Jun Jing (suspended until June 5, 2018).
Taichung City: Sheng Feng (suspended until May 4, 2018).
Kaohsiung City: Jia Long (suspended until June 9, 2018), Teng Da (suspended until June 12, 2018).
Lienchiang County: Yuan Guan International (suspended until June 20, 2018).
