National Museum of Marine Science & Technology welcomes summer vacation; Keelung residents get free entry on Wednesday mornings

The National Museum of Marine Science & Technology is gearing up for summer vacation. Starting in July, in response to feedback from the majority of visitors, the museum has adjusted its closure day from Tuesday to Monday. This change also corrects the free admission time for Keelung residents and introduces other new discount measures.

The museum stated that in addition to changing the closure day to Monday in response to public opinion, starting in July, it will launch the “Keelung Resident Community Engagement Program.” Residents registered in Keelung can enjoy free admission every Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. by presenting their ID card. Regular admission on other days is also available at a 20% discount.

Additionally, the Ocean Theater, which has long been popular with visitors, will reserve 30 free spots for the first show every Wednesday exclusively for Keelung residents. However, these discounts do not apply during national holidays or consecutive holiday periods.
