Fun Summer Vacation！Children under 12 can ride the Maokong Gondola for free starting July

From July 1 to August 31, the Maokong Gondola is launching the “Kids Ride the Maokong Gondola COOL Summer” promotion. Elementary school students under 12 nationwide can ride for free by presenting their National Health Insurance card or other valid ID. Currently, all Maokong Gondola cabins are adorned with Hello Kitty designs, adding a playful touch. The Taipei Metro Corporation reminds the public that accompanying adults are not eligible for the discount. Although children under 12 can ride the gondola alone, the corporation recommends parental accompaniment for safety. Mondays are maintenance days when the gondola does not operate at all. Recently, afternoon thunderstorms in the mountainous area have also affected gondola services. Visitors are advised to call ahead before planning their trip.

Not just the gondola—during the summer vacation, Taipei Zoo is also offering free admission to students under 12 who present valid documentation. Those not eligible for the discount can enter for just NT$30. Meanwhile, the Taipei Astronomical Museum, Taipei Story House, and Taipei Water Park are also offering special deals for children under 12.
