Free double-decker bus in Shibuya to explore Tokyo’s bustling districts & free WiFi included

Another double-decker bus will soon be cruising Tokyo’s streets, taking tourists on a tour of the city’s highlights. From July to August 31, Tokyu Railway is launching a limited-time double-decker bus service called “Visit Shibuya,” which will circle around Shibuya, Roppongi, and Akasaka. Not only is the ride free, but passengers will also enjoy complimentary WiFi.
Tokyu Railway states that tourists staying at its affiliated hotels—including Tokyu The Capital Hotel, Akasaka Excel Hotel Tokyu, Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu, Tokyu Plaza Hotel, and Shibuya Tokyu Inn—can obtain a free ride voucher either at the hotel front desk or by downloading it to their phone. Simply show the voucher to the driver upon boarding to ride “Visit Shibuya” for free.

“Visit Shibuya” has three main stops: Shibuya Mark City, Akasaka Tokyu The Capital Hotel, and Roppongi Hills. Passengers can board at any of these locations. The first bus departs at 10:15 AM, and the service runs until 7:30 PM. Along the route, passengers can enjoy views of the National Diet Building, Roppongi Hills, Shibuya Hikarie, and Omotesando.
Additionally, Tokyu Railway offers free WiFi application services at the Shibuya Station Passenger Service Center, the 2F and B3 service desks of Shibuya Hikarie, the 1F service desk of Tokyu Department Store Main Branch, the 1F and 5F service desks of Tokyu Department Store Tokyu East Building, and the Shibuya 109 information desk. Foreign visitors just need to bring their passport or foreign resident ID card to apply for a free WiFi login account. For more event details, visit the“Visit Shibuya” official website.
