TransAsia Airways launches flights to Quanzhou and Guiyang, bringing cross-strait routes to 29

Following the launch of chartered tourist flights between Taichung–Zhangjiajie and Kaohsiung–Lanzhou in June, TransAsia Airways added two new scheduled routes—Taoyuan–Quanzhou and Taoyuan–Guiyang—as well as a chartered flight between Kaohsiung–Yichang in July.

TransAsia Airways stated that the Taoyuan–Quanzhou route officially commenced on July 2, marking the airline’s first new cross-strait scheduled route this year. The Taoyuan–Guiyang route was then launched on July 3. With the addition of Quanzhou and Guiyang, TransAsia Airways now operates 29 cross-strait scheduled direct routes, serving a total of 15 cities across five regions in China: East China, South China, Central China, North China, and Southwest China.

With the addition of three weekly round-trip flights to Quanzhou, TransAsia Airways now operates 14 weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Fujian, offering over 4,000 seats. The Taoyuan–Guiyang route is served by A320 or A321 aircraft, with two flights per week. The Kaohsiung–Yichang chartered flight also began service on July 7, operating once a week, with potential future applications to convert it into a scheduled route.
