Universal Studios Japan’s Summer Event: Upgraded Water Party & One Piece Adventure

This summer (2024), Universal Studios Japan not only unveils its brand-new Harry Potter theme park but also introduces the highly popular “Universal Wonderland” reservation system, favored by family visitors, allowing guests to book and enjoy attractions in advance. The park is also hosting this year’s grander summer highlight, the “Water Splash Surprise Party.” From now until September 7, visitors can get completely soaked and fully embrace the summer fun.

“Universal Wonderland” has topped the “goo Ranking” as the “Most Exciting Summer Attraction for Kids This Year.” The “Reservation Play” entertainment facility booking system, introduced this spring, has received high praise from visitors. It allows guests to make the most of their wait times without queuing, avoiding the summer heat.

Additionally, the kids’ zone in the “Water Splash Surprise Party” is making its debut this year. From now until September 7, both water volume and coverage have been significantly upgraded. The massive cannon shoots water up to approximately 60 meters, ensuring everyone gets drenched. Last year there were 3 cannons, but this year the number has increased to 5. The water volume will also be 1.5 times greater than last year—no matter where you hide, you’re bound to get soaked.

Meanwhile, the extremely popular “ONE PIECE (One Piece) Live Show” will feature an original story exclusive to Universal Studios Japan, offering a completely different experience from the spring show and taking the summer atmosphere at the park to new heights. Universal Studios Japan will bring the real “ONE PIECE” world to life, with the “ONE PIECE Area” themed around the “New World Island,” a naval base, making its dazzling debut in the park’s “San Francisco area.” Enjoy new story performances where you can encounter the Straw Hat Pirates and visit themed restaurants, immersing yourself in a whole new world.
