Limited-Edition PokoPang Bunny Train Launches This Summer on Kaohsiung MRT; Brown Bear & Gingerbread Man Characters Join the Fun

This summer, the Kaohsiung MRT is bursting with color and fun again. Following the huge success of themed painted trains like Snoopy and "The Legend of the Swordsman," the Kaohsiung MRT has now introduced a series of new painted trains featuring PokoPang Bunny, Brown Bear, and the running Gingerbread Man. These make the MRT not just a way to get around the city’s sights—but one of the most exciting surprises for every visitor exploring Kaohsiung.

Game characters usually seen only on 3C devices are now part of the train’s interior, delighting passengers who can’t resist taking selfies. Step aboard and you’ll find Gingerbread Men dashing through the carriages, Brown Bear and Bunny hiding in various corners, and the main PokoPang Bunny characters staging playful battles by the doors and windows—making this adorable train ride a hit with both kids and adults.

The Kaohsiung MRT reports that its daily average ridership has reached 170,000, making it the top choice for both local commuters and tourists in the region. Through various randomly scheduled painted trains, visitors to Kaohsiung can enjoy not only the city’s beautiful public art but also make riding these themed trains a must-do experience. In the coming period, themed trains including PokoPang Bunny will run on a per-train basis, with all three designs operating intermittently on the Red Line from now until August 31.
