The "Annyeong KOREA!: Korea Culture & Tourism Expo,"featuring 85 organizations and 124 diverse Korean-themed booths,kicked off today (July 5) and will run for two consecutive days at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 3. The event showcases Korean cuisine, travel, weddings, education, beauty, and tourism-related information, along with various DIY cultural experiences. South Korean idol group Shinhwa’s lead singerShin Hyesungalso performed as a guest, drawing non-stop screams from the crowd.

Admission to the Korea Culture & Tourism Expo is free. Many fans lined up before the opening just to see their idol, and when Shin Hyesung took the stage, the excitement reached its peak. For this Taiwan performance, Shin Hyesung greeted fans in Mandarin: “Hope you all come visit Korea more often!”

To let attendees experience authentic Korean flavors, the expo featured food stalls offering kimchi, seafood pancakes, spicy stir-fried rice cakes, and more. The Korean fried chicken made famous by the drama "Goblin" drew massive crowds.

In addition, the event included interactive games like those from the variety show "Running Man," traditional Korean games such as Yutnori, tuho (arrow tossing), and shuttlecock kicking, as well as traditional hanbok (Korean attire) dressing experiences. Renowned Korean beauty companies also conducted skincare workshops, allowing visitors to explore different aspects of Korean culture.

According to the organizers, in addition to daily performances by travel influencers, K-pop musicals, fantasy percussion shows, and Typhoon, July 5 will feature performances by Shinhwa’s Shin Hyesung and girl group Dal Shabet, while July 6 will include interactions with ULALA SESSION, the winners of a talent show. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of the weekend to experience Korean charm.
