Looking down from a height of 60 meters, parts of Carefree Valley’s rice paddies have already been harvested in summer, leaving a yellow-tinged green landscape like a canvas teeming with life. Come autumn, the fields gradually take on the colors of the season, glittering under the sunlight in vast swathes of gold—a sight so beautiful it’s unforgettable. In summer, besides visiting the breathtaking Carefree Valley, you can also enjoy nearby flower blooms—the stunning pink ginger lily fields are in full bloom. Ginger lilies, perennial tropical flowers, resemble tulips but are more delicate, thriving in warm, humid climates. Their blooming season in Taiwan is approximately June to October. The light pink seas of flowers are fresh and ethereal, and bundles of six flowers are sold for just NT$100. After admiring the flower sea, you can even take a lovely bouquet home.
