Tainan’s “Guanziling Holiday Bus” – Free Travel to Explore the Cultural and Natural Charms of Baihe

With its mud hot springs known for skin beautification and therapeutic benefits, and a butterfly amusement park where you can get up close to purple crow butterflies, the Guanziling area boasts natural scenery and leisure spots that attract visitors all year round. Starting today, the Greater Tainan City Bus has launched the “Guanziling Holiday Bus,” which will pass by famous local attractions such as Haohan Slope and Daxian Temple.

The picturesque landscape of Guanziling offers delightful scenery. In addition to being a renowned hot spring resort, the area also features national heritage sites such as the Volcanic Biyun Temple, the Water-Fire Spring, and Haohan Slope. The “Guanziling Holiday Bus,” which operates only on weekends, will depart from Guanziling Station starting at 7:40 AM, running hourly to take visitors to these attractions, allowing them to experience the beautiful scenery and cultural charm along the Guanziling route.

The Tainan City Transportation Bureau stated that in the future, the public can take a train to Xinying Railway Station, then transfer to the Huang Trunk Line bus at the Xinying Bus Terminal in front of the station to reach Baihe. From there, they can take the Huang 12 or Huang 13 branch lines to Guanziling Station, and transfer to the “Guanziling Holiday Bus” at the same location to explore the area. Additionally, passengers using electronic tickets can enjoy free rides with a base fare of NT$26, as well as an extra NT$9 transfer discount when switching between buses or trains within two hours.

Furthermore, to coincide with the launch of the Guanziling Holiday Bus, the Tainan City Public Transport Bureau has introduced a “Customized Transfer Service.” This service integrates transfer methods and schedule coordination information from Xinying Railway Station to the Guanziling area on a single “Customized Timetable,” with routes color-coded for easy reading, providing the clearest and most user-friendly travel information.
