Taichung isn’t just about dreamy mirror cakes — there’s also high-end dessert “marbled macarons”

The Taichung dessert shop SIANG HAO PATISSERIE0?esserts0?肿魈鸬悖?which opened this year, has quickly gained popularity. Its visually stunning creations and exquisite flavors have delighted many, and in July, it’s set to wow the local dessert scene again with its brand-new “marbled macarons.”

SIANG HAO’s signature stone-patterned, heart-patterned, and regular marbled cakes are daily staples, each priced at just over NT$100. The cakes feature smooth surfaces and vibrant, ever-changing colors that resemble a galaxy captured on mirror-like frosting. Their unique heart and stone designs leave customers exclaiming, “So beautiful I don’t want to eat it!”

The chic gray-and-white marble pattern has been all the rage in the past two years, adorning the outfits and accessories of countless influencers and bloggers. The owner of SIANG HAO is also a fan of marble aesthetics — the walls, bar counter, dining tables, and even the plates feature these patterns. Even the “macarons” are decorated with these elegant designs.

The marbled macarons, expected to go on sale on July 3, will initially come in four flavors: matcha, sesame, cranberry cheesecake, and 72% chocolate. Each macaron costs NT$60, with a daily limit of 20 per flavor — marble lovers, don’t miss out.

Another recently launched dessert, the “apple peach,” resembles Snow White in appearance, maintaining the shop’s signature mirror finish and colorful patterns in soft pink hues that feel straight out of a dream. When sliced open, the filling surprises with “peach,” creating an unexpected delight. The owner explained that while the shape is apple-inspired, the inside doesn’t have to be apple — a playful twist on expectations.
