Guam Airport renovation completed after a year; South Korea’s “Lotte Duty Free” opens

Worried about not having enough time to shop for souvenirs during your busy Guam itinerary? After a year-long renovation, South Korea’s “Lotte Duty Free” officially opened at Guam International Airport in late July. Offering a diverse range of products with a unique Guam flavor, it is expected to become a new alternative attraction for future travelers to Guam.

Covering an area of 700 pyeong, Lotte Duty Free incorporates local Guam characteristics. In addition to selling Guam-related souvenirs such as chocolates, cookies, Guam beer, and handicrafts, the store also integrates Chamorro culture into its decor. Shoppers can find models of Guam’s most beautiful legend — Two Lovers Point, life-sized buffalo statues, latte stones, and even the most stunning underwater scenery of Guam brought to life in a 45,000-gallon aquarium, allowing visitors to relive the vibrant marine life of Guam.
