Here’s the newest Instagram hotspot in Hong Kong –Harbour View Pointisa scenic spot that only opened in October in Hong Kong, offering a 270-degree view of Victoria Harbour. Its prime location surrounded by sea on three sides captures the full beauty of the sunset, and looking across to Hong Kong Island you can see IFC (International Finance Centre), the tallest building in Hong Kong. It’s a new choice for enjoying night scenes and sunsets, and with no entrance fee, it became an IG hot spot just one month after opening.

Harbour View Point is locatedon the top floor of the newly expanded building of Harbour City’s Ocean Terminal. Originally a cruise ship berth, it was transformed into a new sunset and night view platform after the docking area was moved forward. Construction began in 2012, and it officially opened this October. The new building was designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Foster + Partners and offers views of both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula.

The two 6,500-square-foot activity platforms are spacious. Leaning against the railing gives off a laid-back vibe. Keep your shot parallel to the railing, with the sea view and sunset as the perfect backdrop – no matter how you shoot, it’s soothing.

2. Corner Railing Spot

This is the spot most recommended by Ocean Terminal’s PR team. It’s a relatively high platform, and when people shoot upwards from below, the protruding platform adds a sense of extension to the frame, while still capturing the beauty of Victoria Harbour and the row of buildings on Hong Kong Island.

3. On the Turf

The turf, only opened on November 30, is natural grass covering 6,500 square feet. Those looking to take cute, fresh photos can sit on the ground – the lush green paired with the sea view exudes an energetic, youthful vibe.

4. Outside the Restaurants at Ocean Terminal in Harbour City

Each restaurant in the new Ocean Terminal building enjoys stunning sea views and comfortable open-air seating. Especially the “Sky Cave” on the third floor, which not only boasts Victoria Harbour views but also features cuisine by Chef Liao, formerly of the French Michelin three-star restaurant L'Assiette Champenoise, creating a refined and cozy atmosphere. It serves a variety of freshly delivered seafood, and with the night view right beside you, every shot turns out beautifully.
