China Airlines’ new 777-300ER fleet is scheduled for delivery starting September this year. To give the public an early taste of the all-new seats designed by an international design team, the airline has converted a container truck into a mobile aircraft cabin that will tour popular commercial districts in Taipei, Hsinchu, Tainan, and Kaohsiung—allowing people to experience the airline’s next-generation cabin products without boarding a plane.

The 40-ton container truck has been modified inside and out to fully showcase the 777-300ER’s next-generation cabin products. The 777-300ER touring experience vehicle features brand-new “Premium Business Class,” “Premium Economy Class,” and economy class “Family Couch” seats. On weekends throughout August, the experience truck will be stationed at Taipei 101 Xinyi Plaza, Kaohsiung Hanshin Dome, and Taipei Huashan 1914 Creative Park for public trials. From August 2 to 24, visitors who check in on Facebook at the experience truck and upload photos will receive a small gift. Every hour, the truck will issue boarding numbers, and those who receive one can participate in the 777 slot machine game, with chances to win round-trip tickets between Taipei and Hong Kong, limited-edition model planes, and other China Airlines giveaways.

Premium Business Class
China Airlines’ 777-300ER Premium Business Class has 40 seats, with each seat measuring 78 inches in length and fully lie-flat at 180 degrees. The seats feature memory foam cushions with understated dark blue cloud-patterned upholstery, combining sleek aesthetics with premium comfort. The ceiling is designed with a high-rise layout and ambient lighting, while the cabin space and tray tables are inlaid with persimmon wood grain, creating a refined literary atmosphere akin to a scholar’s study with soft night lighting—offering a unique living space and refined travel experience infused with scholarly charm.

Premium Economy Class
China Airlines’ new 777-300ER Premium Economy Class has 62 seats, with seat pitch increased to 39 inches. The fixed-back design ensures that reclining won’t disturb passengers behind, nor will those in front encroach on your personal space. The cabin is equipped with 12-inch screens—the largest in its class globally—along with multiple storage compartments and uniquely functional fold-out tables that offer extra space for dining or working. The seats feature a tech-inspired matte black color and patterns inspired by Song Dynasty aesthetics, evoking the serene ambiance of a mountain scholar’s studio and delivering a fresh, comfortable travel experience.

Economy Class (showcasing Family Couch)
The new Economy Class on China Airlines’ 777-300ER fleet features an improved seat design, with a recline angle extended by nearly 120 degrees for greater comfort. The slim-profile backrest increases legroom by extending the distance to the seat in front. Asia’s first “Family Couch” is located in the first 10 rows of the 777-300ER Economy Class section—each row has three seats outfitted with specially designed leg rests. During the flight, passengers can lift the leg rest 90 degrees to merge with the seat cushion, forming an 180-degree sofa bed. By using the provided seatbelt and accessories like pillows, cushions, and blankets, a few simple steps transform the seats into a cozy private sleeping space.
