Say “I love you, Dad/Grandpa” for free – Father’s Day promotion at the Children’s Folk Games Festival

This Friday (the 8th) is the annual Father’s Day, and the Yilan Children’s Folk Games Festival will also launch a special promotion on this day to encourage dads and grandpas to come to the festival with their children. As long as a son says “I love you” to his dad or grandpa in person, the dad or grandpa can enjoy free admission.

The organizer, Yilan County Cultural Affairs Bureau, announced the free admission for dads on Father’s Day at a press conference today (the 5th).
Lin Chiu-fang, Director of Yilan County Government Cultural Affairs Bureau, said that Father’s Day is a major holiday that always falls during the Children’s Folk Games Festival each year. To thank all the dads across the country for their hard work and dedication throughout the year, the festival offers a special promotion every year to invite families to celebrate together. It is also hoped that family outings can strengthen bonds among family members.

In this year’s park layout, the Children’s Folk Games Festival has designed and created the “Tiny Tots Creative Play Kingdom” for children aged 0 to 6 for the first time. It is divided into two zones: one for ages 0 to 2 and another for ages 3 to 6. The 0 to 2 zone is suitable for crawlers and toddlers, featuring a spacious and safe environment, and includes a nursing room set up in consideration of the needs of mothers and young children. The 3 to 6 zone includes three main areas: a creative reading play area, a caterpillar reading area, and a creative bouncing activity area. These combine physical activity, hands-on play, and reading, offering little ones and their parents another great place to have fun at the festival.
