Assisting in the Reconstruction of Kaohsiung Gas Explosion Disaster Area — “Air Busan” Donates Proceeds from One Day of Flights

The Kaohsiung gas explosion shocked the entire nation, with many residents in the disaster area still unable to return home. Following donations made by EVA Air and China Airlines to aid post-disaster reconstruction, Air Busan’s Kaohsiung branch — the only airline operating the “Kaohsiung–Busan” route — donated the proceeds from one day of ticket sales on that route, amounting to NT$200,000, through the Kaohsiung City Social Affairs Bureau on the 13th as a gesture of sympathy.
Kim Young-jae, General Manager of Air Busan’s Kaohsiung Branch, expressed regret and concern over the casualties caused by this serious accident in Kaohsiung. In order to provide more assistance to local victims, he hoped that this donation could contribute in a small way, and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and the prompt reconstruction of Kaohsiung, so that it can regain its former beauty.
