The priority section of the Taichung Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Blue Line, from Taichung Railway Station to Providence University (excluding Ren’ai Hospital Station), will be fully open to the public starting August 17. The first departure from Taichung Railway Station will be at 6:00 AM, and from Providence University at 5:00 AM. The last departures will be at 11:00 PM and 10:30 PM respectively, with buses running every 6 minutes. The Taichung City Government Transportation Bureau stated that riding the Taichung BRT is free for one year, but passengers must tap their cards when entering and exiting stations to avoid card blocking.

The priority section of the BRT Blue Line from Railway Station to Providence University, excluding Ren’ai Hospital Station, will be fully open starting tomorrow. The Taichung Bus Rapid Transit Company reminds passengers to allow others to alight before boarding to improve boarding and alighting efficiency. BRT stops at every station, so passengers do not need to signal to board or ring the bell to alight. Emergency stop bells inside the bus are only for use in emergencies and should not be pressed under normal circumstances. Additionally, BRT follows metro regulations—eating and drinking on board are not allowed. Each BRT vehicle can accommodate two folding bicycles. Pets must be carried in pet carriers when entering BRT stations or vehicles.
