Discover the Beauty of Hsinchu with Hebe Tien – The International Anime Tourism Festival Kicks Off at the End of August

From August 30 to September 8, the Hsinchu City Government will host the International Anime Tourism Festival, featuring activities over two consecutive weekends in locations such as Hoxing Station, Neiwan, and Zhudong. The event will be endorsed by Hebe Tien, a native of Hsinchu, who will not only help bring anime fans to another climax as summer draws to a close but also invite everyone to explore the beautiful mountains and waters of Hsinchu.

As a native of Hsinchu, Hebe Tien has been chosen by the Hsinchu County Government to serve as the ambassador for this year’s most important international tourism event, the “Taiwan Comic Dream Factory.” Being a Hsinchu native herself, she expressed that it is both an honor and a joy to represent the event. After all, she is a daughter of Hsinchu County, and with this rare opportunity, she is eager to showcase the area’s stunning landscapes, Hakka cuisine, and traditional culture to everyone.

The first day of the event on August 30 will kick off at the Neiwan Anime Park, featuring activities such as the Neiwan Dream Railway Anime Competition, the Indigenous Creative Open Call Project, the Cosplay Happy Battle Party, and the Starlight Anime Concert Kickoff. The following day, August 31, anime character parades will take place at three stations along the Taiwan Railways Neiwan Branch Line: Neiwan, Hoxing, and Zhudong. During the event period, visitors can take photos with any of the event mascots and upload them to the Facebook fan page “Neiwan Dream Railway Taiwan Comic Dream Factory” to receive a small gift.

As for September 6 and 9月 7, both days’ events will be held at the Zhudong Riverside Park. On September 6, the “Hsinchu Light Mid-Autumn Anime Carnival” will take place, featuring performances by many artists born in Hsinchu, including Wang Xinling, Luo Meiling, Zhu Lijing, and Hebe Tien. On September 7, there will be a family-friendly anime-themed activity for parents and children to enjoy together.

In the promotional video for the International Anime Tourism Festival, Hebe Tien walks through various parts of Hsinchu, showcasing its beauty. The video features Hoxing Station, the romantic Hoxing Station, the creatively designed Neiwan Painted Train, the story-rich Neiwan Theater, the over-half-a-century-old Neiwan Railway, and authentic wild ginger flower zongzi. As a member of the Hakka community, she also engages in conversation with a Hakka shop owner in the video, ultimately inviting everyone to visit Hsinchu and experience its scenery, food, and culture.
