When it comes to geometric-patterned walls, the Dadong Art and Cultural Center in Fongshan District, Kaohsiung, is packed with modern design. It uses intersecting structures, triangular-cut glass, and fair-faced concrete walls. Standing here for photos makes you feel like you’re on your own personal stage, significantly boosting the quality of your shots. In addition, there are 11 large hot air balloons outside. Don’t underestimate these roof membranes—they’re not only light-permeable and ventilated but can also withstand winds up to Force 13. At night, the biggest highlight here is the light and water dance show. It’s a great spot for romance seekers. By the way, this scene even appeared in the MV for “The Great Artist”!

Another recently popular elegant wall is this one—the so-called new Taipei landmark, the “Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center.” Its highlight is the gray-white wall, which is unique and textured. Slanted lines draw the eye, along with thin stripes that resemble falling rain. Many people hold umbrellas to mimic rainy-day scenes, adding a touch of romantic poetry to their photos. Not only is the architecture ultra-modern, but the interior also hosts exhibitions from time to time. It’s a great place to catch performances in Taipei.

In addition to the minimalist gray-white walls, those who prefer a simple and dreamy vibe can opt for designs with a bit of color in the lines. For example, the newly renovated Shuiyuan Market, surrounded by a water treatment plant, features a large amount of blue in the form of a cobalt-blue geometric exterior wall, making it an alternative photoshoot hotspot and a famous landmark in Gongguan. The vivid colors make for beautiful photos, attracting influencers and visitors who find its charm hard to resist.

For an even more dreamy feel, there's also a mesh design that brings a cute and playful vibe. This newly built North District National Sports Center is the second large sports facility in Taichung. Drawing on its former use as a swimming pool, it cleverly incorporates ocean-themed elements of blue and white. Aside from working out here, you can also take photos with the walls—the aqua blue is a soothing, healing hue.
