Speaking of the Philippines, the most famous resort destination is Boracay. In a domestic portal site poll for the “Top 10 Resort Islands in Southeast Asia and the Pacific,” Boracay took the top spot. The entire island is long and narrow, only about 7 kilometers in length and approximately 4 kilometers in width. One of its features is the endless white sandy beach on the western side. With its crystal-clear waters, set against a backdrop of blue skies, white clouds, and coconut groves, it’s a picturesque resort destination also known as the “Island Paradise.”

Been to Boracay? No worries, you can go see the “tarsier,” which looks strikingly like Jedi Master Yoda from Star Wars. The “Tarsier (Tarsius) Ecology” is unique to Bohol Island in the Philippines. The island is estimated to have 124 tarsiers, and amazingly, they can only survive on this island—bringing them elsewhere causes them to perish. Tarsiers can rotate their necks 300 degrees, more than an owl’s 260 degrees.
