Lion Travel Group announced it will join forces with Bobby Travel to establish a new travel agency brand, “Lionbobby Travel,” targeting three major inbound tourist markets—Japan, Southeast Asia, and Mainland China—as well as Japan’s high-end tourism sector. The collaboration aims to actively enhance the quality of inbound tourists from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and Mainland China/Hong Kong/Macao, while strengthening tourism products and services from “source markets” to “destination markets.”

Lion Travel Chairman Wang Wen-jie stated that Lion Travel Group possesses strategic capital, core competitiveness, marketing channels, and significant advantages in outbound, domestic inbound, and transportation resources. Together with Dai Qi-heng, Chairman of Bobby Travel, which has a unique sales route for Japanese tourists visiting Taiwan, they will officially establish Lionbobby Travel (Lionbobby Travel) on January 1, 2018.
The new entity will integrate both parties’ inbound and outbound tourism resources to expand the market.

Lionbobby Travel is set to launch in early 2018, focusing its inbound market on three key source regions: Japan, Southeast Asia, and Mainland China. It will also strengthen Taiwan-Japan tourism ties by crafting exclusive, customized itineraries for Japanese visitors and developing diverse, deeply immersive experience-based travel products. For the outbound market, Wang Wen-jie noted that Lionbobby’s strategy will center around a Japan Concept Hall, highlighting high-end Japan tour packages and customized group tours. The brand will differentiate itself through exclusive partnerships offering premium accommodations, hidden regional gems, gourmet dining experiences, and cultural festivals.

According to statistics from the Tourism Bureau, Japan is the second-largest source of inbound tourists to Taiwan. Lionbobby Travel Chairman Dai Qi-heng mentioned that over 80% of Bobby Travel’s revenue last year came from inbound tourism, primarily from customized group tours for Japanese visitors to Taiwan. In the future, ‘Lionbobby Travel’ will not only continue the legacy and resources of Bobby Travel but will also integrate Lion Travel’s globally shared travel component service history to gain supply chain negotiation advantages. This will help continuously optimize the travel experience and convey the brand service value of ‘Lionbobby Travel.’
