New "Pingtung Tourism Passport" Released – Only NT$199, Total Value Exceeds NT$10,000

To welcome the growing number of independent travelers, local hotels, transportation providers, and entertainment operators have joined forces to launch the "Pingtung Tourism Passport." Priced at just NT$199 per passport, the total value of benefits exceeds NT$15,000. Valid until June 19, 2015, it allows you to explore the Hengchun Peninsula all year round—covering transportation, accommodation, dining, and entertainment, all in one convenient booklet.

Zhang Fusheng, Chairman of the Hengchun Peninsula Tourism Industry Alliance, pointed out that according to reports, in 2013, there were 1.18 million tourist arrivals from Hong Kong and Macau to Taiwan, and the number of independent travelers from mainland China has been doubling year by year. Even AirAsia is set to launch flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kaohsiung’s Xiaogang Airport in the near future, indicating that the popularity of tourism in southern Taiwan continues to rise, which is bound to attract a significant influx of international visitors.

The Hengchun Peninsula Tourism Industry Alliance previously launched its first tourism passport ten years ago. This updated version integrates accommodations, transportation, entertainment, and water activities, offering even greater value. Zhang Fusheng stated that the Pingtung Tourism Passport includes attractive "buy one, get one free" deals, featuring well-known partners such as Kenting Fuhwa Resort, Caesar Park Hotel, Formosa Fun Coast, Kenting Xiaokenting Resort, Youhuo Resort, Kenting Chateau Beach Hotel, the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, Hengchun Eco-Farm, Qingquan Japanese Hot Spring, and the Kenting Shuttle Bus. Benefits include buy one, get one free offers on lodging, transportation, and even afternoon tea. Additionally, partners like Liufu Village Resort, the National Youth Corps Administration’s Kenting Youth Activity Center, Dapeng Bay International Leisure Zone, OTD Paintball, and EVA Air’s Sea Parasailing also offer discounted activities, with the total value exceeding NT$15,000.

Each tourism passport also comes with a complimentary “Nine Choices, Pick One” voucher. This voucher can be redeemed for one of nine free experiences, including free admission to Water World, a DIY park entry ticket at Hengchun Eco-Farm, a three-day pass for the Kenting Shuttle Bus, a free spa session at Fennel Hot Spring Resort, a free soak at the Maldives-style hot spring facility, a free soak at Qingquan Japanese Hot Spring, a free ride on a balance bike at OTD Paintball, or three free cups of coffee at Taiwan’s Southernmost Point Viewing Platform. This essentially means you earn NT$500 in value instantly upon purchasing the passport.
