The Xinyi Children’s Museum Opens: Taipei Achieves Its Goal of One Children’s Museum per District

The Xinyi Children’s Museum in Taipei officially opened on the 30th, marking the completion of the city government’s goal to have a children’s museum in all 12 administrative districts. Mayor Hau Lung-pin said that each children’s museum has its own unique features, and he hopes everyone will visit and explore all of them to experience their individual characteristics.

The Xinyi Children’s Museum is located in SiSi Nan Village, exuding a strong military dependents’ village atmosphere. Other children’s museums also feature their own highlights: the Shilin Children’s Museum emphasizes traffic safety education, the Zhongshan Children’s Museum hosts a theater troupe, and the Wanhua Children’s Museum offers ample outdoor activity space, including rock climbing.

Hau Lung-pin noted that the 12 children’s museums not only serve local parents and children but also aim to encourage everyone to visit and enjoy all of them, experiencing each museum’s distinct features. By providing opportunities for shared play, reading, and learning, they seek to strengthen parent-child relationships.
