Soaking in cool seawater is a delight in the tropical climate of Thailand, but few people know that you can actually “soak in hot springs” while traveling here. The Nattha Waree Hot Spring Resort, located in Krabi, Thailand, sits in a natural hot spring area with 10 natural hot spring sources. Guests can enjoy a relaxing sauna experience in both hot and cold pools.

Krabi’s popular attractions, the Emerald Pool and the hot spring waterfall (Namtok Ron), are favorite spots for locals to enjoy hot springs. For about 200 Thai baht, the national park entrance fee allows you to soak in wild hot springs surrounded by forests. Nearby, the Nattha Waree Resort also features hot spring pools. With only 24 rooms on the vast property, natural hot spring pools can be found throughout the resort. To maintain the springs, only five are regularly open to guests, with temperatures ranging from 39 to 42 degrees Celsius. Soaking in hot springs during hot weather offers unique therapeutic benefits.

Most guests at the resort are from Europe and America. Foreign visitors enjoy the sweating thrill under the blazing sun, then cool off in the swimming pool. After the sauna, they lie in the sun to fully relax their bodies. In addition, a must-try at the resort is the underwater massage spa. The masseuse first applies a mud paste made of charcoal and milk to exfoliate the legs, then lets the guest soak in the hot spring. They proceed with underwater massage and finally apply essential oils. The multi-step massage technique, with its special methods, leaves everyone who tries it saying they definitely want to come back again.
