Hofmann to Visit Taiwan for the Third Time in Six Days & Share the Moon with His New Creation “Moon Rabbit”

The “2014 Taoyuan Land Art Festival” takes place from the 4th to the 14th at the Taoyuan Naval Base, with Hofmann — creator of the Yellow Duck — also participating with his “Moon Rabbit.” He will arrive in Taiwan on the 6th to meet the public once again, admire the moon together, and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

 The Taoyuan County Cultural Affairs Bureau said that Hofmann was inspired by the legend of Chang’e and the Jade Rabbit, and specially created the “Moon Rabbit” for the Taoyuan Land Art Festival, fulfilling his promise made last year to return to Taoyuan this year.  The bureau noted that the Moon Rabbit lies relaxed on an aircraft bunker, pondering life while daydreaming and weaving its own true story.

The Taoyuan County Cultural Affairs Bureau said that Hofmann strongly supports the curatorial concept of the land art festival. He hopes that through the event, the former naval base can be transformed into a new cultural space, connecting art and festivities, inviting everyone to come together, dream collectively, and enjoy beautiful moments under the radiant moonlight.
