Tigerair Taiwan’s 888 promotion sold out in 3 hours    About 30 people grabbed a seat on each flight

Tigerair Taiwan launched an opening promotion with one-way fares of 888 NTD (tax included) from Taipei to Singapore, and 1445 NTD (tax included) from Singapore to Taipei, attracting many netizens who waited online this morning to book tickets. The 888 NTD promotional fare for the inaugural day sold out in just 20 minutes. The remaining 888 NTD tickets were all booked by a little after 1 PM. Currently, if users search for Tigerair Taiwan’s promotional prices, they can still find second-phase fares for Taipei–Singapore at 1988 and 2775 NTD. Li Ming-yan said, “These are still cheaper than other low-cost carriers flying to Singapore, and passengers can still consider them.”

This promotion by Tigerair Taiwan made 10,000 seats available for the public to snap up, with departure dates ranging from September 26 to March 28. Li Ming-yan pointed out that starting from the launch, there will be two round trips per day, totaling 368 flights, with an average of about 30 seats per flight available for booking. If calculated based on a single traveler purchasing a round-trip ticket, approximately 5,000 passengers could secure these promotional airfares. Regarding whether the 888 NTD fares would be re-released for passengers who registered but did not make payment within the deadline, Li Ming-yan responded, “The approach is still under evaluation.” As for future promotions, Li Ming-yan mentioned that Tigerair Taiwan will monitor market response and continue to roll out promotional campaigns.
