Where to go on Mid-Autumn Festival night? Taipei City reveals 23 riverside park barbecue areas

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the Taipei City Government encourages residents to celebrate in a traditional, healthy, low-carbon way by admiring the moon and sipping tea. However, considering that some people still wish to have barbecues, 23 riverside parks will be open for barbecue and picnic activities. The Water Resources Department reminds the public to conduct barbecue and moon-gazing activities only in designated areas and to follow the relevant regulations of the riverside parks, including cleaning up trash and maintaining environmental cleanliness.

The Bureau of Public Works' Water Resources Engineering Office further explained that, considering the difficulty in securing barbecue spots, in addition to the original 8 locations, 15 more sites will be added from September 6 to 8 as special Mid-Autumn barbecue zones, providing the public with more space options.

The Water Resources Department also reminds the public that conducting unauthorized barbecue or picnic activities in non-designated areas, or violating the relevant regulations of the Park Management Self-Governance Ordinance, may result in immediate suspension of use by patrol officers and fines of over NT$2,400 if the behavior continues after warnings.
