Want to take in Taichung Port’s advanced port facilities and enjoy scenic views of the central Taiwan seaport? The observation platform on the 3rd floor of the Taichung Port Passenger Service Center has been open to the public for free daily starting today.

The Transportation Bureau stated that Taichung Port is a multifunctional international port in central Taiwan and is also an artificial harbor. The port area features convenient transportation and is mainly responsible for import/export operations, as well as being a hub for oil storage and transport, cruise ship berthing, and cross-strait cargo vessel docking. The observation platform on the 3rd floor of the Taichung Port Passenger Service Center offers a wide panoramic view, allowing visitors to look out over the port facilities and sea, as well as observe cruise ships and passenger-cargo vessels docking and unloading — getting a glimpse of a world-class seaport.

The observation platform is open to the public for free daily from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For those wanting a closer look at the Taichung Port scenery and maritime culture, group reservations allow visitors to explore the port up close through guided tours led by volunteers.
