The Lovers' Destiny Staircase and {J Cup Chairs – Zhinan Temple Creates a Romantic "Lovers' Sanctuary" for Mid-Autumn

Where to go during the Mid-Autumn holiday? The Taipei City Government’s Department of Urban Development recommends taking the Maokong Gondola this year to visit the Zhinan Scenic Area on the outskirts of Taipei, and spending a romantic Mid-Autumn night at the specially designed Lovers' Sanctuary.

In recent years, the Taipei City Department of Urban Development has collaborated with the Zhinan Temple Management Committee to complete five major attractions around the Zhinan Scenic Area, including the Mother’s Garden, Yuanzhen Pond, the Lovers' Sanctuary, and the Longevity Promenade—ideal spots for families to visit together during the holiday break.

He Ming-yu, head of the Forest Recreation Section at the Department of Urban Development, pointed out that the Lovers' Sanctuary features romantic elements such as destiny lines, the Moon Lady {J Cup Chairs, and love locks. From the cozy pavilion, you can gaze at Taipei 101 and the full moon, instantly leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the city. Among them, the Rabbit Zone in the Chinese Zodiac Rest Area is especially recommended, where three vivid yet playful stone sculptures add a lively touch to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Gao Zhong-xin, chairman of the Zhinan Temple Management Committee, also noted that since enshrining the Moon Matchmaker in the Lovers' Sanctuary and installing a five-claw titanium dragon beside the waterfall scenery, even more young people have been visiting the Zhinan Scenic Area with friends and family to pray and make wishes.
