The topic of Taiwan-themed restaurants never seems to fade. Following the Gudetama-themed restaurant, Taipei City has recently added three new themed restaurants that can heal fans. One of them, ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇㄇㄧㄣˊㄊㄨㄥˇ, is the first in Taiwan to feature LINE stickers as the main characters, which are also characters created in Taiwan. There’s also a Moomin-themed restaurant, and an upcoming limited-time Powerpuff Girls-themed restaurant.

ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇㄇㄧㄣˊㄊㄨㄥˇ
The highly popular LINE sticker character ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇㄇㄧㄣˊㄊㄨㄥˇ opened on the 25th of last month, becoming Taiwan’s first LINE sticker-themed restaurant. It quickly attracted many fans of ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ, especially those who couldn’t get enough of the adorable ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice balls. The interior is designed around the theme of the ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice balls, with giant plush versions placed at the entrance. The overall concept of the ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ-themed restaurant is cozy and warm. The most popular dish is the ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice ball set, which offers over 1,000 different designs so far.

The ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice balls are so cute they make people unable to hold back their affection. However, besides the cuteness, the ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice balls also allow diners to interact with the characters. At the ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ-themed restaurant, the entire space is designed to be warm and inviting. From the perspective of the ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice balls, the restaurant is designed to create a cozy atmosphere. Diners can enjoy a unique experience where the ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice balls come to life. The restaurant also offers various DIY activities where customers can create their own cute ㄇㄚˊㄎㄨㄟˋㄅㄧㄥˇ rice balls.

Moomin Café – Moomin Themed Restaurant
The “Moomin Café – Moomin Themed Restaurant,” beloved by girls in Japan, is finally set to officially open in Taiwan on July 7. The entire store is designed with a Nordic style as the base theme. A giant Moomin plush toy greets guests at the entrance, and inside the restaurant, there will be large plush dolls of the 10 members from Moomin Valley. During meal times, staff will take turns seating guests and “running around” to attend to customers. The most special dish is the signature Moomin House pancake, which comes with eight porcelain figurines on the plate. After finishing the meal, diners can choose to take one home.

Powerpuff Girls Themed Restaurant
The limited-time Powerpuff Girls-themed restaurant is about to appear in Taipei’s Xinyi District. The restaurant is expected to officially open on July 14. This themed restaurant is a collaboration between Flying Leap Culture and Nood Food Concept Dining. Nood Food Concept Dining continuously partners with international character brands, rotating themes on a quarterly basis. In line with the Powerpuff Girls exhibition period, Nood Food is launching a limited-time Powerpuff Girls-themed restaurant at Xinyi Eslite during the summer vacation.
