Hoffman’s “Moon Rabbit” caught fire; the rabbit’s head and limbs turned to ashes

The Taoyuan Land Art Festival officially came to a close on September 14, but Hoffman’s popular artwork “Moon Rabbit,” which drew large crowds, was tragically destroyed by fire today (September 15). The once adorable figure is now reduced to just the rabbit’s body, with its limbs and head completely turned to ash.

According to the Taoyuan County Government’s Cultural Affairs Bureau, they were deeply shocked by this unfortunate incident and are currently working to determine the exact cause of the fire as quickly as possible.

Previously known for creating the Yellow Duck, Hoffman specially crafted the “Moon Rabbit” artwork for the Mid-Autumn Festival culture and personally attended the land art festival. However, the Yellow Duck had previously exploded during exhibitions in both Taoyuan and Keelung, an incident that remains vivid in the minds of many. Now, with the Moon Rabbit being destroyed shortly after the exhibition ended, some netizens have questioned: “Was it cursed?”
