Having been open for 12 years, Deer Antler is one of Kenting’s iconic bars. It only accepts walk-ins, and its tranquil, elegant ambiance is perfect for slightly older travelers who enjoy savoring life—or for a romantic date with your partner.

Fun fact: this is actually the oldest open-air bar on Kenting Night Market, having been around for 11 years. Its open-air seating adds a sense of intimacy, often bringing together strangers who quickly become friends—truly a bar with authentic Kenting flair.

First-timers should try their signature “HaUp Kenting,” a dreamy sky-blue cocktail as refreshing as the sea. The story behind it? The owner was once inspired by the breathtaking sea-and-sky view at Little Bay just before work, leading him to create this stunning drink. Highly recommended!

Another excellent pub we recommend on Kenting Street is "Addiction." The interior is stylishly decorated, with just the right ambiance and lighting. In addition to the bar counter, there are also comfortable sofa areas—perfect for travelers looking to unwind. You can cozy up with friends on the sofas, enjoy a relaxing drink, and spend a leisurely evening.

This bar features live musicians performing every day (18:30–20:30), along with a variety of full meals. With great drinks, delicious food, and soothing music, it’s the perfect way to spend an evening.

Their cocktail menu offers a rich selection, each infused with the vibrant summer vibes of the tropics. It turns out they’ve hired a silver medalist from a world bartending competition as their consultant, who specially crafted several signature cocktails. We highly recommend trying their "Scented Tea Mojito" and "Banana Boat." Their Mojito is quite unique, featuring local harbor tea, giving it a distinctive aroma. Meanwhile, the colorful Banana Boat cocktail has a sweet, smooth taste, making it especially popular with women.

Little Bay Bar (Kenting)

If you’re looking for the bar with the most Kenting vacation vibe, Little Bay Bar is probably it.

Operated by Caesar Park Hotel, Little Bay Bar is located right in front of Little Bay Beach. The location is great—you can sip drinks while enjoying the beautiful sea view up close. After playing in the water, come up to relax with a drink and enjoy the seaside time at your own leisurely pace. The bar also hosts live bands every night, playing blues, indigenous music, or pop songs (21:00–22:45), creating a great atmosphere.

At Little Bay Bar, we recommend trying their "Little Bay Special," a cocktail that can be customized based on your preference—whether you like it more sour, sweet, or strong, the skilled bartenders will adjust it to your taste. Another cocktail inspired by a famous Kenting attraction, the "Guanshan Sunset," has a stunning orange-red gradient reminiscent of the sunset at Guanshan. It has a fruity aroma and is perfect for women.

Located in Tonghai Lane on Kenting Street, this bar may not be well-known, but it’s actually the oldest pub in the area, having opened in 1991 with 26 years of history. It’s practically grown up alongside Kenting Street and holds shared memories for many. The pub has a British tavern atmosphere, and though the space isn’t large, it has a charming old-school vibe, ideal for travelers who enjoy Western-style bars.

Most notably, their wall of bottles is adorned with an astonishing collection of bottle openers and coins from around the world, including many uniquely shaped openers. The owner jokes that these were all left behind by customers over the years and have unknowingly covered the walls, becoming a signature feature of the bar.

The bar’s owner previously worked at a well-known five-star hotel, so their cocktails are also top-notch. For example, their signature "Fire Shot" is served in a large shot glass with a flame on top, which you drink in one go—a classic favorite among many visitors. Then there’s "Crazy in Kenting," made with five types of base liquor. It tastes sweet and smooth at first but has a very strong aftereffect—locals call it a "one-shot knockout." For those who prefer a lighter taste, try their "Cool Kenting," which includes flavors like lychee and lime—it’s very refreshing.

What? You can learn about Kenting while drinking at a bar? That’s right—this uniquely special "30M BAR" lets you explore Kenting through its cocktails.

The owner of this bar is a nature teacher and diving instructor who got into bartending by chance. Having always admired the manga "Bartender," he wanted to use cocktails to tell stories. Being passionate about environmental issues, he decided to use cocktails to convey his ecological conservation message. Yes—he’s a schoolteacher by day and your life teacher by night.

Drawing inspiration from local Kenting features, he has created a wide variety of themed cocktails, such as "Diver," "Clownfish Nemo," "Lionfish," and "Global Warming," which uses melting ice to remind people of climate change. Each cocktail has a unique design that always catches the eye and tastes great too.

By the way, the location of this bar is also quite special—it’s hidden on the first floor of the "Credit Cooperative" (credit/banking) building in Hengchun Town. This century-old structure was once a bank during the Japanese colonial era and retains much of the charm of old buildings. Sipping a drink here at night creates a wonderful atmosphere, making it a great bar for literary-minded visitors.

Bands like Fire EX!, The Chairman, and others have played here. It’s the southernmost live house in Taiwan. Many music-loving travelers make a point to visit this bar to enjoy live band performances when they come to Kenting. They also host various themed parties during different holidays, making it super fun and perfect for those who love lively vibes and music.

Unlike typical bars, there’s no drink menu here. The longtime bar owner, having served all kinds of customers over the years, believes everyone’s mood and taste vary from moment to moment. So, he prefers to chat with guests first to understand their preferences or current mood, then crafts a custom cocktail just for them — ensuring every sip is a delightful surprise.

The owner, who is also a skilled cook, offers reservation-only no-menu meals. If you’d like to dine and drink, you can book a meal in advance.

Aside from enjoying fresh beer on-site, you can also buy canned versions to take home as souvenirs. The cans are so cute that many people buy them just for the memories. The museum also displays various historical artifacts related to beer and a collection of thousands of beer glasses from around the world gathered by the owner over the years. With retro Japanese decor, limited seating, the warm greetings from the owner, and the occasional aroma of food wafting through the air, the place exudes an indescribably cozy atmosphere.

It turns out the owner is a big fan of Japan and has filled the space with Japanese items collected over the years, creating a full-on Japanese pub vibe. The drink menu also features classics commonly found in Japanese pubs: Japanese sake, shochu, plum wine, sours... and more. There are even some types of alcohol you won’t find elsewhere in Kenting — all handpicked by the owner.

For first-timers, we recommend trying their Japanese plum wine iced coffee — it’s truly unique, with the aromas of plum wine and coffee complementing each other beautifully. If you prefer sweet flavors, go for the Hakutouko Traditional Mandarin Liquor. And if you’re a beer lover, they also have ASAHI, SAPPORO, and SUNTORY PREMIUM MALT’S.
